All Ecuadorians

Nowadays, all Ecuadorians have come together for the promotion of their own languages and cultures and the social-economical development of their families.  Several Ecuadorian associations have made alliances with others previously formed fighting for their social, economical and cultural protection. For example, the case of the quichua-speaking population is unique. They have developed a strong self-esteem with a scope beyond the limits of the Ecuadorian State and it has spreaded to the greatest part of the Andean zone.

Nowadays the change is coming from this <<National State>> into a <<Multi-National or Multi-Ethnic State>> where the different Ecuadorian cultures can co-exist in their territories in a level of equality as a step previous to their progressive and harmonious integration.

Even though such a historical solution appears to be distant, the struggle of Ecuadorian indigenous organizations has developed a conscience of general respect towards the ethnic minorities of the country and, although their objectives are still far from being accomplished, isolated but significant successes have been reached in the Ecuadorian political and social fields.
